Make your checklist. First things first- a to do list! To help you manage all of your preparation there are a host of tools online to help you plan, check off your to do’s, and host an event you’ve envisioned. While most Indian weddings celebrate with multiple events, few follow in Western tradition with a wedding and a formal reception. While I search for a to do list which caters to planning multi-day celebration, several websites offer a “traditional” check list which can help you initiate the planning process. On www.Vertex42.com I found a great wedding checklist. An even more comprehensive spreadsheet can be found on Google Doc’s- wedding planner who teamed up with Style Me Pretty, my favorite blog. And, as you plan, there are some great tips and “must asks” on IndianWeddingWebsite.com to help guide and narrow your search for the perfect venue.

Update Your Address Books Using Google Doc’s Templates: A Tale of Two Brides takes you step by step on how to create, share, and fill your address book using google doc’s forms. Once you select “Use this template” you can browse through a variety of forms, select a template to email out to guests and have them update their contact information.
Make Your Seating Chart: A free software can assist with making seating arrangements. While it may not help you decide if which cousin, friend, aunt or uncle should be seated next to (or perhaps not next to) one another, this program allows you to group people into social categories such as age, or relation in order to guide you as you determine who should sit together.
